Family Therapy and Parent Training
Family therapy and parent training are forms of therapy which involve helping parents face difficult moments in parenting. Parents are encouraged to identify, address, and manage their own past or present experiences that may be affecting the way they relate to their children. The aim of these types of therapies is to help increase positive interactions between parents and their children. Through a variety of approaches, parents are trained to use token economies, positive reinforcement and other methods to manage their children's behaviors at home and in school.
